Vulshain's Foreign Relations
Like any other nation in the world, Vulshain maintains diplomatic ties and relations with foreign countries.
As of right now, King Samuil Rainard is visiting several nations in the East Pacific region to establish and strengthen these ties.
However, nations like the Armed Republic of Rygard are enemies of Vulshain, despite Vulshain's attempts to resolve a cold war between Vulshain and Rygard peacefully, which resulted in a war after the 2010 Rygardi Embassy Shootings in Kitsuniva where Rygardi Embassy guards opened fire on a crowd of protesters, killing eleven people, including several foreign nationals.
Azulcena, after recently being unified, welcomed a diplomatic delegation in order to prepare the Monarch of Vulshain's visit to Azulcena.
King Samuil Rainard plans to establish relations with Kelssek.
East Malaysia has an embassy located in Kitsuniva. Bai Lung, Laiatan, Vekaiyu, and several other nations have embassies as well.
Free Pacific States, while allies of Vulshain against Rygard, does not yet have an embassy in Vulshain's capital.

Relations with Laiatan
Laiatan and Vulshain have a long history between each other, although at one time during the late 1800s, both nations were involved in the Five-Year War between each other. While relations were damaged, Laiatan came to their eastern neighbor's aid twice: first in overthrowing Merrill Rivers and again in the 2003-2006 Vulshainian Civil War. After this, the two nations became strong allies and supporters of each other.
In 2010, both Vulshain and Laiatan signed an alliance after their respective leaders, King Samuil Rainard and President Zakhari Kreskov, formed an alliance to strengthen relations between their two countries.
The two nations share a lot in common, especially in terms of culture and traditions.
Relations with Vekaiyu
Vekaiyu and Vulshain have been allies for several years. Vekaiyu assisted Vulshain in overthrowing the Republican Regime and restoring the monarchy during the Monarchical Revolution. However, relations were damaged when Max Venavle came to power, murdered the Royal Family of Vekaiyu (with the exception of Leina Kivelevov), and proclaimed himself dictator of Vekaiyu. Max had hoped to persuade Vulshain to his side, but his beliefs, ideals, and violent and warmongering attitudes caused Vulshain to nearly break ties with Vekaiyu. However, Max saw Vulshain as harmless as Vulshain was still rebuilding after the fall of the Republican Regime.
After the death of Max, relations improved, but they still weren't back to pre-Maxist conditions. Many still doubted that the Maxists had been removed from power after Selvala McEva had removed Max from power. After Ikrisia Levinile took over as Premier of Vekaiyu, conditions improved, especially after Vulshain assisted Vekaiyu during the 2010 Vekaiyun Civil War. King Rainard looks forward to visiting Vekaiyu, as his father, Kirin Rainard was from Vekaiyu.
Relations with Azulcena
Vulshain and Azulcena have only recently begun establishing relations with each other, but so far things seem to be working out.
Relations with Rygard
Relations between the Armed Republic of Rygard and Vulshain have been anything but good, with both nations having a lengthy cold war between each other for many years. Rygard had given sanctuary to supporters of Merrill Rivers, who helped transformed the nation into a militaristic dictatorship. Rygard's people were oppressed, with many having been either brainwashed or intimidated into obeying an tyrannical government. Special military police called Commissars enforced absolute loyalty from the masses and from the military, and were able to use extreme and violent force to uphold absolute devotion to the government. Reports of torture and slavery came out of the country from those few who managed to escape the island nation.
In 2010, after the Rygardi Embassy Shootings in Vulshain's capital, Kitsuniva, Rygard refused after several nations requested that Rygard turn over the Embassy guards who had fired upon a crowd of protesters in front of the Rygardi Embassy. When Rygard refused to turn over the guards, the island dictator, Archibald Rivers, son of Merrill Rivers, declared war on Vulshain, Laiatan, Vekaiyu, East Malaysia, and the Free Pacific States. These nations banded together to remove Archibald Rivers from power and liberate the people of Rygard from the oppressive government. In 2011, Rygard fell into a massive civil war, as the citizens of Rygard began to riot throughout the nation, demanding that Vulshain annex Rygard.
