Tar-Moriñgothoyondo (5th Ringarë 1163 ABY - Mettarë 1241 ABY) reigned as God Emperor of Aman, Sovereign of the Alcedina Dynasty and Witch-King of Kharnor from 17th Víressë 1219 ABY until his assasination on Mettarë 1241 ABY. Born as Kalethar Dakhar of Kharnor to Dioda Dakhar, he was the bastard son of (Thaomo) and would become the only non-Alcedina born emperor of the Alcedina Dynasty. Later renamed Ansur Kalethar Alcedina his official short title as emperor was Tar-Moriñgothoyondo, Most Divine God Emperor of All the Eruhíni.

Kalethar Dakhar was born as the illegitimate son of The Thaomo Emperor and the witch-queen of Kharnor. The lands of Kharnor had in the early years of the eleventh century fallen to the darkness of the Dakhar clans who sought to establish themselves as rulers of all of the Quendi and despots of the world. In 1151 the Taomo Emperor waged war against the evil of Kharnor. In 1162 the Dakhars was losing the war. The daughter of the witch-king of Kharnor then devised a cunning plan that would eventually lead to the fall of the Alcedina dynasty and the end of the old world. She disguised herself as a peasant and approached the emperor. She seduced him and from their union came Kalethar Dakhar as Tar-Moriñgothoyondo's name was. Dakhar was raised by his mother's people who taught him to hate his ancestors on his father's side.

In 1179 the sixteen year old Kalethor meet the young Quendi crown prince Annatar Alcedina. Annatar was two years older than Kalethor at the time and when he learnt that Kalethor was a son of his father he embraced him as a brother and adopted him into the Imperial House of Alcedina. In 1192 the Thaomo Emperor died and Annatar Alcedina was granted the Mandate of Heaven. Believing his half brother to be a loyal and good friend, the Mirtjii emperor gave his brother the position of Imperial High Chancellor. But the hate that Kalethar had towards his father's people made him secretly murder his brother in 1219 assuming rule over the empire under the personal name of Ansur Alcedina and the imperial name of Tar-Moriñgothoyondo.

The Moriñgothoyondo Reign was one of the darkest periods in the history of the Alcedina Dynasty, and even the history of the Quendi all together. During his rule Tar-Moriñgothoyondo ordered the executions of millions of political opponents many from the Imperial House of Alcedina itself. He also undertook a series of brutal wars with semi autonomous kingdoms and states that had been given their autonomy by his predecessors. In addition to these crimes Tar-Moriñgothoyondo also conferred much imperial power to his maternal relatives the Witches of Kharnor leading to one of the most corrupt and brutal regimes in history.

In 1241 ABY the emperor was murder by agents of the Imperial Inquisition acting on the orders of prince Athal Alcedina, the son of the Mirtjii Emperor, who had learned of the role the Zarath had played in the murder of the Mirtjii. Athal Alcedina was then granted the Mandate of Heaven and commenced reversing the disasters of Tar-Moriñgothoyondo something he was partially successful in.

Etymology

The Imperial name Tar-Moriñgothoyondo was taken by the emperor upon his deification when the Mandate of Heaven was bestowed upon him in the Palace of Light in the Borremeo Palace. Its meaning in Vanyarin Quenya is "Son of the Black Foe" or, more correctly, "Son of Moriñgotho". Moriñgotho was the evil god that the witch clans of Kharnor worshipped and whom Tar-Moriñgothoyondo began openly worshipping early in his reign.
