Swartaz is a large nation in Scandinavia, ruled by Henrik Jansen.

The Republic of Swartaz is a massive, safe nation, ruled by Henrik Jansen with an iron fist, and renowned for its devotion to social welfare. Its hard-nosed, hard-working population of 2.017 billion are either ruled by a sleek, efficient government or a conglomerate of multinational corporations; it's difficult to tell which.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, pro-business government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Defence, Law & Order, and Healthcare. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Storvansten. The average income tax rate is 100%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Arms Manufacturing industry, followed by Automobile Manufacturing and Information Technology.

Citizens are bombarded with advertising from their compulsory minature radios, businesses often fire workers in favour of cheaper automatic systems, military spending is on the increase, and Blue Hawks are considered a delicacy. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Swartaz's national animal is the Blue Hawk, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its currency is the Saasmaik.

Swartaz is ranked 94th in the region and 25,857th in the world for Largest Insurance Industry.

Swartaz have a powerhouse of an economy. People from home and abroad enjoy working in Swartaz's many economic centres, and workers in Swartaz enjoy high wages, and safe and enjoyable working enviorments. The Goverment pours money into state run companies, and acts as a safety net for important struggling private companies. The main industries in the private sector are the arms manafacturing industry, the Automobile manafacturing industry, and Information Technology. Swartaz regulary takes in foreign workers to help the economy. Some companies will employ workers without citizenship, others will want to see citizenship. There are an estimated 90 million foriegn workers in the private sector.

Swartaz military consists of like many of the worlds militaries, an Army, a Navy, and an Air Force. The Swartaz army is a high tech, dilligent army, made up of about 2% of Swartaz's population (about 20 million) at peace time. The main bulk of the Swartaz army is split into 3 parts:

Hawk

Hawk is where the bulk of the army is situated. They are ready to be deployed domesticlly or overseas at any time. Currently, the Swartaz army has troops from squads in the Hawk section in Kulverint and Oil Rig 7741.

Eagle

This is a section made up of hardened military heroes. This section are used more as a tactical squadron on ground level. Currently these troops are not actively serving.

Vulture

This is the 'special forces' section of the main Swartaz army. they mainly take part in anti-terror missions. Currently they are deployed in Kulverint and Oil Rig 7741.

Nuclear Weapons

Swartaz own an impressive nuclear arsenal of 900+ nuclear warheads. Swartaz have urainium in pleniful supply from their eastern mountains. Swartaz have 90+ nuclear reactors, all enforced under incredibly strict safety laws. Most are in the extremely cold North Eastern mountains. Henrik Jansen has said several times he will maintain the nuclear arsenal built up by former leader of 87 years Vaarger Sanderflaugeren. Most of the populace are pro Nuclear weapons. Nuclear energy is also being intergrated much more into the national energy supply.

Swartaz has a Scandinavian type climate of temperate Summers and Bitterly cold winters. The very south of the country can experiance mild heat at the heart of the summer. Once you start to go north or east, the temperatures and weather start to tumble downhill. The West coast can experiance effects of a warm current in Summer. The north of the country is almost impossible to properly live in all year round, and many people head south during the winter months.

Swartaz has an overall population of just over 2 Billion (10 January 2010). Swartaz is not a particualy densely populated country on average, but the Major Southern cities are very densely populated, especially in ther winter months.

Swartaz main Sports are Football (association) and Handball. Swartaz's football team reached the Semi Final of the Cup of Harmony 40, Losing to runners up Cassadaigua after extra time 1-0. Swartaz have never qualified for the World Cup Finals, their best result 4th in the qualifiers for World Cup 49. Swartaz have also sent teams in for hockey, basketball, fussbal and motor sport compertitions.
