Steel Carapace Manufacturers (SCM) is a Brachyurian industrial corporation, servicing a broad range of products within Brachyuria, but most well known overseas as a defence contractor. As of 2010 it was the second largest company in Melivorica, behind the Pacific Trading Company of Deketopia. Founded in 1915, SCM was one of the first Brachyurian corporations, and has through exploiting an early Brachyurian economic law, gained the upper hand within Brachyuria in producing any product that includes more than 5 kilograms of metal. Though most of it's revenue comes from Brachyuria itself, including the supply of the Royal Brachyurian Defence Force, it also makes a marginal income from selling a selection of it's military goods to foreign markets.
