The Empire of Speculine is a Compulsory Consumerist State in the New Warsaw Pact region, frequently noted for its keen interest in outer space, irreverence towards religion, and opposition of welfare.

History
Previously founded as the Rogue Nation of Speculine, there was dissent amongst the citizens, followed by rebellion. A small sect of militant extremists assassinated President For Life Tetsuo Kamata and briefly the nation fell into anarchy. This was short lived though, as an heir of the ancient Shinji bloodline was discovered. Shortly afterwards the people championed him into power as their first Emperor in thousands of years. The first act of Emperor Shinji was to set up The Empire of Speculine and its new political system. This was followed by aggresivly fixing the economy which was paralyzed by the recent turmoil.
Economy
Speculine enjoys its strong economy which is fueled mostly by the public sector and a booming IT industry. Large portions of the national revenue also come in from the sales of "commercialized highly deadly weapons" to other nations in times of war. The national currency, the quinart, is a small polished obsidian looking natural metal shaped like a tear drop, its exchange rate is listed at roughly 5 quinarts to $1.
Geography
Speculine is huge and environmentally stunning in cleanliness and natural beauty. While mostly flatland, some small mountainous regions are found in western Speculine.

Military
Early during the rule of King Shinji the military was granted vast funding and authority. This built a powerhouse of a military complex, and they quickly became aware of that. After an attempted coup by a lieutenant, the military has had their funding drastically cut and their surplus has been sold. Speculine has never been involved with any sort of external conflict or war though and many citizens don't believe limiting their military will have any negative consequence. Even with the new limitations in place, the military is still overly bolstered by their sales of weapons of war to other nations and sheer amount of eager soldiers.
Government
King Shinji's rule is unquestionable. When it is questioned, those involved usually disappear in the night and taken to one of the nation's many secret test facilities. After the assassination of President Kamata while returning from an international meet and greet, King Shinji no longer leaves the nation. In his place, Agent Zed is sent to handle all World Assembly affairs. Speculinians know very little of Agent Zed other than that. Internally, he is viewed as a most powerful national asset and likely to replace the King if anything were to happen to him.
Culture
The natives, Speculinians, have accepted the new empirical culture ushered in by King Shinji. The early years of his rule brought a lot of psy-ops to the people. They were brainwashed almost constantly with pro-empire propaganda and the vast majority have taken on a very jingoist stance. Currently there are still loudspeakers on every other city block with positive political 'affirmations' playing randomly throughout the day and national security cameras cover most of the settled lands.
