The Snefaldian Parliament is the bicameral legislative body of the States-Federation of Snefaldia, composed of the upper Chamber of Regents and the lower Assembly of Deputies. All seats in the Parliament are elected positions. Legislation passed in one house must also be passed in the other for it to become law.

Parliament may meet in a Joint Session for important speeches and debates, but the houses do not conduct business jointly.

Parliament Building

The legislature is housed in the Grand Hall of Parliament, built in 1908 by the Republican government to replace the old West Parliament building, destroyed by fire in 1907. After 1963 the building was used as a meeting place for the Tuhran Bel's government, referred to as either the "Hall of the Bel" or the "Chamber of the Bel." In 2007 the Tuhran Bel relinquished power to a civilian republic, and the parliament building was once again used by an elected legislature.
