Introduction
Sidh Ohn is an unusual nation within the NS Multiverse whose population consists almost entirely of Ohn, rather than Humans. Environmentally stunning, it is nonetheless a brutally harsh landscape with a history of catastophies and bloody conflicts.
Geography
Sidh Ohn is primarily a hilly, and heavilly forested taiga located on the northern half of a micro-continental landmass and several smaller islands in the far north of the International Democratic Union. In the rough center of the nation lies a single high peak from which the capital of Sleibh Cathaird was carved. In the southwest of the main landmass lies the forbidden Tharnwoad while in the the northeast the great Northern Gate can be found. Finally, to the north, amid endlessly drifting icebergs and erratic and tides lie the Muircine Isles.
Sidh Ohn remains rich in mineral wealth due to both the difficulty of mining in the harsh environment, and the tendency of the Ohn to only take what they need at the time or what they just happen to pick up. The following is a list of common minerals found in Sidh Ohn:
Carbonates: Aragonite, Azurite, Blue Calcite, Iceland Spar (called Ice Stone by the Ohn ), and Malachite.

Government
Sidh Ohn is governed according to traditional Ohn tribal stuctures; that is to say that it is a tribally based federation form of democratic republic with a constitutional monarchy.
In this system, the individual is seen as the most basic form of government and the example on which all other political stuctures are based. The individual is thus considered to be their own sovereign and are subject only to those rules that they impose upon themselves, so long as their actions do not impose on or interact with others. At such times further political levels come into play.
At its most basic, the Ohn political structure follows the following general guidelines:
1. The Adult Individual
2. Pack (groups of 3-50 adult individuals who choose to live and work together and democratically elect one from among them to act as the "Pack Ardri" for the term.*)
3. Family (groups of 3-50 packs who live and work cooperatively together, which is led by a "Family Council" made up of the various "Pack Ardri" and which democratically elects one from among them to act as the "Family Ardri" for the term.*)
4. Clan (groups of 3-50 families who live and work cooperatively together, which is led by a "Clan Council" made up of the various "Family Ardri" and which democratically elects one from among them to act as the "Clan Ardri" for the term.*)
5. Tribe (groups of 3-50 clans who live and work cooperatively together, which is led by a "Tribal Council" made up of the various "Clan Ardri" and which democratically elects one from among them to act as the "Tribe Ardri" for the term.*)
6. Ohn Ardri (The limited monarchy which leads the tribes.**)
Each level of government only has authority to rule on disputes between levels of government directly beneath it (for instance, you might see a Clan Council handling a territorial dispute between two of its constituent families, but never between packs), hold negotiations with other governments of the same level (so, for instance, two tribes might negotiate with each other but never a tribe and a clan), and bring disputes with other governments of their level to the next level of government for resolution.
- Elections are always conducted by one of several possible preferential voting methods between all available candidates. At the pack level, terms are generally for life or until willing abdication, though any pack member can ask for a new election at any time of peace (impromptu battlefield elections when a Pack Ardri is killed are not unheard of however.) At the family, clan, and tribe levels, terms are set to a five year limits; an ardri may only serve one term at any of these three levels, but may serve at multiple levels in their lifetime.
- The Ohn Ardri, rather than being determined democratically, is determined by a series of tests participated in by the populace at large to determine who is the most fit to lead and represent the nation as a whole. With the exception of members of the Ricataor tribe (which does not participate) all adults undergo a series of tests of their various abilities determined, conducted, and judged by their family council; the top three male and top three female scorers from each family advancing to the tests conducted by the clan council, and so on until the final three male and final three female scorers undergo the tests determined, conducted, and judged by the previous Ohn Ardri (or the Ohn Ardri's mate if they are unavailable, or the Ricataor Tribal Council if they are both unavailable.) The top male and female scorer are then pitted against each other in a final test which requires them each to hunt a full grown wild Auroch alone except for their Ohn Wolf; whichever is judged to have returned with the best kill (a combination of speed, cleaness of the kill, and least wounds to the participant and their ohn wolf) is declared the new Ohn Ardri, while the other becomes their life-mate. An Ohn Ardri holds the position until they die or retire, at which time they and their mate join the Ricataor tribe and a new contest is held. Any children produced by the Ohn Ardri and their mate are sent in their infancy to be raised anonymously among the various packs of the nation (with the firstborn going to the Ohn Ardri's original pack, the secondborn going to their mate's original pack, and any further children going to whatever packs are weakest at the time) and have no further special treatment or recognition beyond their initial birth. Note that the Ohn Ardri and their mate give up all names beyond their personal name upon their ascension, until their retirement into the Ricataor tribe, at which time they take on the names of their new pack and so on (thus the current Ohn Ardri is known as "Ohn Ardri Emresh", or simply "Emresh" when not acting in an official capacity.)
