Sanadrianese lira
The Sanadrianese lira is the currency of the Sovereign Village of San Adriano. It is used only by the few hundred residents of the tiny nation, and is often valued by foreign collectors as a rare currency. The Topian guilder is also, in practice, an accepted currency in San Adriano, albeit not officially so.
The Sanadrianese lira is a weak currency by international standards. It is divided into coins (from Ł1 to Ł50) and banknotes (from Ł20 to Ł20,000).
The Ł20 banknote (worth about 5 centimes of a West Ariddian credit) is light blue, and a new edition was recently printed, depicting an image of all the villagers posing together for a photograph. The Ł50 banknote is a slightly darker shade of blue, and shows an image of the arrival of Wymgani explorers, being greeted by the villagers, in 1639. The Ł100 banknote, a pale shade of yellow, depicts the official proclamation of Sanadrianese sovereignty in 1641.
The banknote for 500 Sanadrianese lira is a pale orange and was recently reprinted to show a portrait of athlete Thomas Peruzzi, silver medallist at the Aeropag Winter Olympics, then repinted again two years later to add a portrait of Sabrina Vannucci, gold medallist at the Ashford Summer Olympics, alongside Peruzzi's. Four years after that, Benjamin Eash's portrait was added when he won bronze at the Querzakhi Olympics. The Ł1000 note is a light red, and shows an image of the Royal Palace. The Ł5000 banknote, a light shade of burgundy, shows an image of the National Museum.
The Ł10,000 note is apple green and depicts the National Assembly Hall. Finally, the Ł20,000 banknote (the highest in value, worth about WÇ46) features a portrait of the village's ruling monarch, Princess Serena Eu.
