Rights of the People of the Republic
The Rights of the People of the Republic is the bill of rights for all Halladis. It is included as part of the constitution, and is known for its libertarian social policy.
The Rights of the People of the Republic
1. All citizens are equal in the eyes of the Republic.
2. All citizens have the right to a free and fair trial by a jury of their peers.
3. All citizens accused of a crime must go through a hearing. No accused person(s) can be held with out a charge against them.
4. Citizens of the Republic are expected to follow the laws of the government and the laws of the people.
5. All people, citizen or not, have the right to asylum within the borders of the Republic.
6. All citizens of the Republic have the right to vote if they are at least sixteen (16) years of age.
7. All citizens have the right to a free education. All citizens must attend at least twelve (12) years of school. College and university is optional, however it is free to attend.
8. All citizens are entitled to a place in the Universal Healthcare System of Hallad. This is free after application to the Commissariat of Health and Social Services.
9. All citizens have the right to bare arms and belong to the People's Militia.
10. All citizens have the right to peace and solidarity.
