The Redeye II (often CamelCased as "RedEye2") is a SAM developed in the early 2000's as a successor to the FIM-43 Redeye, with capacities beyond that of the FIM-92 Stinger that resulted from the original attempts to create a Redeye II missile. Unlike the Redeye, the Redeye II is no dedicated MANPAD and is usually fired from fixed launchers, though it has been reported from battle encounters that Earth II's Japan uses shoulder-mounted Redeye II launchers in specialized RedEye2 Trooper batallions.
