The Norraen Heidninn Keiserrike of Odhinnia is a colossal, safe nation, ruled by Erikr Haakon with an iron fist. It an economically powerful nation which is a part of the Region of Scandinavia. Its capital is Aldgud (also commonly seen as Aldegud).

It is fabled that the Original Kingdom of Odhinnia was but one of many fiefdoms under the rule of King Sæmingr, a direct descendant of Odin. The Fable Continues that at the death of King Sæmingr the fiefdoms were split amongst his many sons and Odhinnia was granted to King Sæmingr's youngest but most ambitious son, Hákon the Victorious. Hákon sought conquest, and warred with many of his brothers, slaying them and taking their fiefdoms into his Kingdom of Odhinnia. From Hákon the Victorious Odhinnian Monarchs take their Royal House name of Haakon, as All Odhinnian Kings claim descent from Hákon the Victorious and by de facto Odin himself. It is Customary for the Ruling King of Odhinnia to be known by their Given name and then the Royal House ie. King Erikr Haakon, However, upon their death Odhinnian Kings are known by their traditional name i.e. Erikr Korisson. Before ascending to the throne they are also referred to by this traditional naming scheme with their appropriate title of Prince.
After these legends there are little known about Odhinnia's history until the the late 700's A.D. The Earliest known king of Odhinnia is recorded as being Válðemarr The Defender, Whom led Odhinnia's Naval forces to a decisive battle where Odhinnia crushed the Powerful Jarl of Hlaðir(Earl of Lade) and cemented Odhinnia's military power for hundreds of years to come. During WW2 King Sverkr "Svartsteinnsson" Haakon traded a piece of Land to it's Neighbor of Jerenia for Alliance, Favor, and Good Will. On King Sverkr's death in 1947 his oldest son, Kori Sverkrsson, assumed the throne and ruled until the Communist Revolution of 1973 which effectively ended the Kingdom of Odhinnia.
The Communist Party of Odhinnia ruled Odhinnia from 1973 to 1988. During this period of time the boarders of Odhinnia were closed to all Non-Soviet nations. However, the Communist party grew corrupt and became a mere puppet of the Soviet Machine. In 1985 Exiled Prince, Erikr "Korisson" Haakon had started raising an army to reclaim his throne. By the end of 1987 Haakon had reclaimed the vast majority of Odhinnia as the people of Odhinnia increasingly distrusted the corrupt Communist Government. In a Glorious Battle April 1st 1988, "The Battle of Fools", King Erikr routed the remnants of the Communist forces and drove them from the Odhinnian border permenantly.
After reclaiming the entirety of Odhinnia from the Communists King Erikr Haakon proclaimed himself King of Odhinnia, but deemed Odhinnia to be an Empire and not a Kingdom as he set about a path of rapid expansion conquering small border nations such as Askjavik. The ascension of Erikr Haakon to the Odhinnian throne refounded the Haakon Dynasty, the current ruling dynasty.

Odhinnia has a Monarchical Government system. There is one King of Odhinnia. There are no elections held within the Odhinnian borders; all positions are appointed by the King and his staff.
[edit] Erikr Haakon
Erikr Haakon is the current King of Odhinnia. Born in 1971 young Haakon was exiled as a prince during the Communist Revolution of 1973, where the Odhinnian Communist Party seized power and killed Odhinnian King Haakon the Wise (Real name Kori Sverkrsson). With the help of the nations of Nordic Heathens, Wehrwolves, Jerenia, and Odhinnians still loyal to the Crown, Erikr Haakon was able to obtain a force powerful enough to drive the communist forces from the Odhinnian borders. With the Communist threat removed Erikr Haakon assumed his rightful place on the throne, refounding the Haakon Dynasty in Odhinnia.
Under the Rule of King Erikr Haakon, Odhinnia's military has returned to it's once legendary status and it's landmass is more than 3x greater than maps of Odhinnia in the early 800's A.D.
Although Odhinnia is Technically an Empire Erikr Haakon cares little for the title of Emperor, but clings to his birth right title of King of Odhinnia.
Erikr Haakon has one wife, Queen Heið; and a young son, Crown-Prince Valdemar Erikrsson.

Odhinnia has 14 provinces, each ruled by a Jarl (Earl) who is appointed by the King of Odhinnia (With Exceptions Noted Below).

(The Finger) Is ruled by Jarl Brandr Sigvaldsson. Jarl Brandr is the Husband of King Erikr "Korisson" Haakon's Oldest sister, Silvía, and father of the Jarl of Fornheim, Hrafni Brandrsson.

The Capital City of Odhinnia, it is a City independent of any other province. This City is under the direct rule of the King of Odhinnia and has no Jarl.
Aldegud is a major military center, hosting Odhinnia's largest naval base, and Odhinnia's head central intelligence agency. It has been said by past visiting foreign dignitaries that King Erikr's Palace is more of a Military Compound, frightening yet emanating a feeling of security and safety.

Ámillifjorden is rich in precious minerals, oil, and natural gas. However, this province is fairly inhospitable to Human Life and it's population is comprised mostly of Military personnel and Workers needed to collect the valuable natural resources. The Elite of Odhinnia's Military are trained in Ámillifjorden wastelands. It is also rumored that Ámillifjorden hides an enormous underground bunker where military scientists perform classified experiments. This region has no Jarl, it is under the direct supervision of the Odhinnian Military.

(Where The Fish Are) Is a province where fishing brings great revenue to the Empire of Odhinnia.

Is a Military Compound Retreat on Mainland Odhinnia's southern coastline. It is under the direct rule of the King of Odhinnia and has no Jarl.
Høyborg has a large strategical Naval Base which ties for Third Largest with Naval bases located in Áfingri and Fornheim. From these three Naval bases the Odhinnian Navy can effectively control traffic through the Odhinnian Straight.

Lokfjorde like Ámillifjorden is rich in natural resources, but is more hospitable to human life. Lokfjorde's coast is full of fishing villages but falls short of Hvorfiskener's fishing prowess.
Lokjorde hosts the headquarters of Odhinnia Inc. the largest corporate power in Odhinnia which deals in many products: Natural Resources, Electronics, Food items/Produce, various other every day items. The CEO and Chair of Odhinnia Inc is Auðun Ríkharðrsson is also the Jarl of Lokfjorde.

Ruled by Jarl Vakr Greiprsson who also is the Top General of Odhinnia's Military.
Miðland is Odhinnia's most heavily Militarized region. Miðland shares a huge border with Ioavollr, which is under the protection of Odhinnia. The presence of a good percentage of the Odhinnian military being located in Miðland is for the protection of Ioavollr, which has no standing military. Should Ioavollr be invaded the Miðland forces are ready to be deployed at a moments notice to protect the sovereignty of Ioavollr.
After having decreed honorary Odhinnian Citizenship to any Ioavollr citizens that wished to receive such status, the Odhinnian Military has become even more increasingly protective over the lands of Ioavollr but has also been careful not to step on the toes of the government of Ioavollr.

The Province of Suður is the largest province in Odhinnia based on landmass. It contains a large portion of the Odhinnian populace.
Traditionally the Provice of Suður is ruled by the Crown Prince of Odhinnia when there is one, where is not one it is ruled by the King of Odhinnia. It is also ruled by the King of Odhinnia when the Crown Prince is not yet "of age to rule".

Is a small territory made up of a city on the Odhinnian mainland and an Island Fortress just off It's coast. Tveirige is considered to be an important strategic point in Northern Odhinnia. The Naval Fortress is the second largest in all of Odhinnia, behind the Capital Aldegud. It is a Military province and subsequently falls under the jurisdiction of Jarl Vakr Greiprsson.

Útjaðar is located in Northern Odhinnia and is fairly insignificant. During WWII the King of Odhinnia granted part of Útjaðar to the nation of Jerenia to form an allegiance and show good will.

[edit] The Odhinnian Straight
Also known as "The Serpent's Realm" referring to the Jormungand the Giant Sea Serpent of Norse Lore. Odhinnia controls ALL waterbased traffic between the Baltic and North Seas, the only way to get from one to the other being through the Odhinnian Straight. While Odhinnia does permit merchant ships to pass the straights mostly unhindered, it is not uncommon for pirates to raid ships of nations that do not have the proper trade rights between themselves and Odhinnia. No Military ships are allowed through the Odhinnian Straight without the consent of the Odhinnian Military. To gain consent to move Warships through the Odhinnian straight a nation must either be a Scandinavian Syndicate Member, a member of the I.S.S.P., some other form of allied nation, or submit a tedious request form to the Odhinnian Military Council detailing :when the ship(s) will arrive, how long it will take to pass through, estimated date of return through the straights, how long it will take to pass back through, Who the Commanding Officers are, Purpose for crossing the Strait, ect. The aforementioned request form must be submitted no less than 3 weeks(21 days) before the ships arrival at the Odhinnian Straights. Military vessels not in compliance with or found to have been less than honest on their form are seized by the Odhinnian Navy.

Odhinnia has a strong economy. Industry is one of Odhinnia's main concerns, next to safety of its citizens. Forms of Monopolization are legal and small business tend to be swiftly bought out by larger corporations.
The center of Odhinnia's economy focuses on the Arms Manufacturing industry, followed by Uranium Mining and Beef-Based Agriculture. Odhinnia armaments are top of the line and world known for their dependability and knock-down power. Many nations armies are comprised fully of Odhinnian made equipment (guns, tanks, ect.). Also, Uranium mining is a large part of the Odhinnian Economy. Uranium is mined and sold with strict background checks and records of all purchases. Just as famous as Odhinnian weaponry is the Odhinnian beef market. Odhinnian beef is first choice for many of the worlds best chefs.

All Working, Elderly, and Disabled Odhinnian citizens receive free basic health-care. Shots to prevent sickness are routinely administered by the government.

The Odhinnian Media is under strict Government control. Anti-Government propaganda, especially communist propaganda, is strictly illegal

Education is free on the primary levels. Students that pass the Odhinnian Academic Excellence test receive free secondary learning. Most Odhinnian citizens, however, get by with just a high-school education.

The Old Norse Polytheist belief set is the most common belief set amongst Odhinnian citizens. Also called Forn Siðr or Old Custom. 93% of the population follow this religion.
The First South Onderon Christian Church is the second choice of most Odhinnian holding with 5% of the population.
The other 2% of the population are some form of Prodistant,Catholic,Orthodox Christianity,or are Atheists

Law and Order is a major part of Odhinnian life. Crime in Odhinnia is totally unknown aside from T.V. shows. The Odhinnian Police force is nothing more than a branch of the Odhinnian army, Odhinnian police officers have the same training and equipment as the main military, but with different uniforms.
Odhinnian Police Officers IF spotting a criminal have the right to shoot on sight and ask questions if the criminal is still alive.
In incidents where there are crime in Odhinnia it is most commonly tourist youths misbehaving and acting up.

The Odhinnian Military is massive and is comprised of near 1/3rd of the Odhinnian Populace, headed by General Vakr Greiprsson. If not in school at age 12 children are taken into the military and given training for battle and for marketable job skills.
Odhinnian has a arsenal of Weapons of Mass-Destruction ranging from nuclear to biochemical weapons technology capabilities.
Due to a conflict with Commander Data of The Dominion of Lt Commander Data, A previously unknown Odhinnian Super-Weapon was revealed: The Bitfrost Satellite Weapons System. This Series of Satellite Weaponry can emanate highly concentrated electromagneticpulse waves to precise locations for both offensive and defensive purposes. The Bitfrost Satellite Weapons System was designed for usage against enemies that rely heavily on computer technologies to manage their armies as well as their entire nation. Side effects include but may not be limited to: Some brain damage to those exposed to prolonged EMP waves, Failure of Pacemakers, incapacitation of electronic circuitry.
It is rumored that Odhinnia has a genetic embryo enhancement program that breeds super-soldiers.
The Most notable of Odhinnia's Military actions was the Liberation of South Onderon from the Bezukhov Regime. Even after the Scandinavia-Fennoscandia Split, The people of South Onderon cheer the name of Odhinnia for their liberation, and celebrate 'Liberation Day' annually. A second reason for the Liberation of South Onderon was to capture Bezukhov and have him tried for war crimes. Bezukhov was behind the Assasination of Several Trader Kings government officials, and an attempt on the life of Frestonia's Prime Minister, Rodfram Kynard, as well as Viceroy of Truella, Hans Amundsen. The Trader Kings retained a friendly relationship with Odhinnia after the South Onderon Incident; however, Frestonia failed to show any gratitude towards Odhinnia for their job well done.

The Odhinnian Navy plays an important role in policing the various sea trade routes through Odhinnian Territorial Waters which include the infamous Odhinnian Straight.
In Odhinnian Old Norse Sea Vessels are designated with the prefix OKM, which stands for Odhinnian Keiserleg Marinen (Odhinnian Imperial Navy).

A carrier is typically deployed along with a host of additional vessels, forming a carrier battle group. The supporting ships, which usually include three or four cruisers and destroyers, a satellite guided missile frigate, and two attack submarines, are tasked with protecting the carrier from air, missile, sea, and undersea threats as well as providing additional strike capabilities themselves. Also a munitions and fueling ship typically follows a carrier battle group.
The Current Class of Odhinnian Aircraft Carrier is the Yggdrasill Class which include the ships:

The Destroyer is, as always, the workhorse of the fleet, optimized for air defense and for not only surface but also subsurface warfare. They are equally at home in large task groups or on independent operations which may include sanctions enforcement, humanitarian relief or anti-drug patrols. The Odhinnian Dreki Class Destroyers are geared more towards independent or tandem action, while the Jötunn Class typically operate in battle groups.
Odhinnia currently uses two classes of Destroyer, the Dreki Class and the Jötunn Class of which the most notable are:

Cruisers are large surface combat vessels that conduct anti-air/anti-missile warfare, surface warfare, anti-submarine warfare, and strike operations independently or as members of a larger task force. Modern guided missile cruisers were developed out of a need to counter the anti-ship missile threats.
The current class of Cruiser used by the Odhinnian Navy is the Einherjar Class. Examples:

Frigates mainly perform anti-submarine warfare for carrier strike groups and amphibious expeditionary groups and provide armed escort for supply convoys and merchant shipping. They are designed to protect friendly ships against hostile submarines in low to medium threat environments, using torpedoes and assault helicopters. Some Odhinnian Naval Frigates are also equipped with satellite guided missile systems.
The Vanír Class is the current class of frigate deployed by the Odhinnian Navy, these ships include:
Odhinnia is one of the last nations in the world to actually still float actual Battleships. Odhinnian Battleships are quite modern, having traded some of their heavy canon for missile systems. Odhinnian Battleships are capable of Nuclear Missile Launch, but typically nuclear arms are not in their payload. The Atlantic Prow is a Dominant feature of Odhinnian Battleships. Only 5 Odhinnian Battleships are commissioned at this time.
The Current Class of Odhinnian Battleship is the Héðnar Class and consists of:
