Airports of Giotizia (add to this discussion)

This page isn't really needed anymore, since this nation and its airports don't exist anymore.

University of Rensselaer (add to this discussion)

A non-notable page for a non-notable former university. Not really needed. --Kedalfax 21:54, 29 April 2007 (GMT)

A single user added a template to these pages which all split off from the Nation codes article outlining arbitrarily created rules that were agreed upon by no one while a related discussion with an outcome leaning in the opposite direction was taking place, and none of the content in the "rules" was mentioned or discussed by the user who added the template in the original talk page/ NPOV dispute. The template is also 1. not a comment and 2.is not signed and therefore should be removed from all of the talk pages that it appears on. John 12:37, 5 September 2008 (UTC)

Rights of the Disabled (WA Draft) (add to this discussion)

Maybe when this actually gets to the stage where it will be voted on by the General Assembly a separate article will be warranted. Right now, this draft isn't notable enough for inclusion on NSwiki. --Kenny 70.181.171.159 02:52, 28 January 2009 (UTC)

Agreed. I'm inclined to delete this in the next few days unless somebody shows up to argue for it being kept. --Goobergunch|? 04:51, 17 August 2009 (UTC)
Welp, no one has, so where does that leave this article? Omigodtheykilledkenny 19:28, 11 September 2009 (UTC) (P.S. There's also a redirect page that should probably be deleted too.)
Concur with removal. Lindsay Martin 11:03, 20 December 2009 (UTC)

1997 (add to this discussion)

I don't see why we should have articles for induvidual years... was there really much happnening during this year. Don't think so, the article only lists 3 events, which can easily be included on the Timeline of the World article. It's essentially a duplicate and a waste of space. The same thing goes for the articles 1990, 980, and 2002, by the way. We don't need over 1000 of these mini-timelines. --swilatia 11:10, 19 March 2009 (UTC)

Swilatia is right. This type of individual years make NSwiki running at a very slow speed. Iglesian Archipelago 17:05, 19 March 2009 (UTC)
My vote is to redirect the articles to the corresponding sections on the existing timeline article. Omigodtheykilledkenny 13:54, 20 March 2009 (UTC)
I'm inclined to agree with Kenny and support redirection. --Goobergunch|? 04:52, 17 August 2009 (UTC)
A uniform policy of redirection for these would seem to make sense. Lindsay Martin 11:05, 20 December 2009 (UTC)

Since almost all the votes were to redirect these pages to the Timeline the World, I've done just that. My vote was to delete, but this also works. --swilatia 22:43, 2 February 2010 (UTC)

Christos Progressa (add to this discussion)

This page was listed for speedy deletion by its creator. Since it's been around since 2004, it doesn't meet speedy criteria. However, there's nothing linking to it at the moment, so I can't say anybody's actually using it. --Goobergunch|? 04:07, 17 August 2009 (UTC)

Only I was using it as it was specific to my nation. When I looked up speedy deletion criteria, I didn't see any age criterion, so my bad. I would like it deleted, if possible, since I am no longer planning on using it for anything. I'm renewing my national history and culture a bit, and this is not part of the new image. Helvetic Confederation 23:26, 17 August 2009 (UTC)

Commustan (add to this discussion)

This is my long-gone nation. I would like it deleted. ~Commustan/New Commustan

Page does not meet speedy criteria. Most of Criterion #7 applies, but there is some cross-referencing elsewhere in the wiki. Therefore, I'm referring this to NSwiki:Deletion. --Goobergunch|? 04:10, 17 August 2009 (UTC)

The War of the Wall that Wasn't (add to this discussion)

I'm referring this to NSwiki:Deletion. While I'm inclined to allow authors' requests to alter their own nations' history, I simply ask for a bit of consistency in doing so. There are a couple other pages linking to this one, and while they're all within the same national jurisdiction, deleting this page would just create a red link on those pages -- something I'm inclined to avoid in speedy deletions. --Goobergunch|? 04:38, 17 August 2009 (UTC)

No problem. One of the pages has been rewritten to avoid the red link; the other, Martin James, can and should be deleted too--they're now the only articles that link to each other. (Does that make them, like, orphaned siblings?) :P--Zwangzug 15:04, 17 August 2009 (UTC)

Sapphire Coast (add to this discussion)

Put this on the pages to be deleted list. It's an article which hasn't seen any activity in four years and concerns a nation which no longer exist. I am not aware of any historical significance pertaining to this nation. Owain 07:25, 20 August 2009 (UTC)

I'm going to vote keep on this one. There's enough info in the article that it's not a non-notable stub, and while I too am unaware of Sapphire Coast's activities, it's entirely impossible they are remembered by some players. Nations do periodically cease to exist, but there's no particular reason to purge NSwiki of all references to them. ~Gruen2alk 11:04, 24 August 2009 (UTC)

It's definately not a featured article, but there is some content, its not like some nation pages with just a copy-pasted nation summary and an infobox. I vote keep, we shouldn't delete content just because the nation ceased to exist. --swilatia 12:54, 28 August 2009 (UTC)

Macedon (add to this discussion)

A meaningless stub; doesn't seem to take the wiki's NPOV policy into account at all. The creation of this article was entirely unnecessary. Delete. Omigodtheykilledkenny 14:17, 23 August 2009 (UTC)

Kittens! Kittens! Kittens! Delete. ~Gruen2alk 17:50, 23 August 2009 (UTC)
I agree that this is an entirely biased page, but the content of the page (with revisions) would be useful. I think an article about the SC's first condemned region is something this wiki should have. For the time being, I have removed the unnecessary reference to CR, but my opinion is to keep with revisions. Jey* 23:32, 23 August 2009 (UTC)
If the only value of the article is that they were the "first condemned region", why not just work up Condemn Macedon (and Liberate belgium)? ~Gruen2alk 08:14, 24 August 2009 (UTC)
I was in a hurry, sorry. But it will need to be improved so I'll get into that. --Marian 10:48, 24 August 2009 (UTC)

27 August 2009

Education by country ( add to this discussion)

The entire "article" consists of a table with links to articles Education in (nation), and a single line of text stating that it is just a list of links. It's almost the same as Category:Education by country, so I say that this page should be deleted and the category used instead. --swilatia 17:47, 27 August 2009 (UTC)

OK, alright. Iglesian Archipelago 19:54, 27 August 2009 (UTC)

War Games (add to this discussion)

Doesn't seem notable, certainly not widespread, and this particular article name would be better off serving as an overall article about war games in general in NS, and not about one particular nation's method of conducting war games. Delete. Ad’ihan 03:46, 1 September 2009 (UTC)

Delete. Lindsay Martin 11:10, 20 December 2009 (UTC)

As the person who started the article, I started a thread on the forums. For better or worse it should help gather a consensus of whether this concept is liked. Ad'ihan has a point with the name. War Games might be too generic. New NY 2 September 2009

The issue isn't really whether the article is "liked". Some of the porn linkspam is artfully shot and might well be liked - perhaps even well-liked. The policy page, featured on the Main Page, makes clear that NSwiki is not a roleplay site. ~Gruen2alk 15:24, 2 September 2009 (UTC)
Here is what the policy says: "NSwiki is not a role-play site. Historical accounts of roleplay activity belong here. Active role-playing should be done on the forums." It means that you should use the forums not NSwiki for active role-playing. For example, it would not be okay to use NSwiki to initiate an attack on someone. It's definitely not implying that you can't talk about ways to role-play on NSwiki. It doesn't look like anyone is jumping on board in support of it on the forum yet, if it's not something Nationstate players are interested in doing that would be a legitimate reason to delete it. New NY. September 2.

UEFA Euro 2008 (add to this discussion)

Just what is the point of this article?! It's an exact copy of the Wikipedia article, with the only change being that the article creator's nation was supposedly victorious in the final. I'm very tempted to slap {{inclusion}} on this. Ad’ihan 15:15, 6 March 2010 (UTC)

  • Better than that, I've slapped a speedy delete tag on it. Krytenia 15:20, 6 March 2010 (UTC)

Interesting side note, the author's nation, on which he has also created a rather large article for (which, judging from early edits to it, were based off the Wikipedia entry for Malaysia), does not even currently exist on NationStates. Ad’ihan 16:55, 6 March 2010 (UTC)
