Relying on a Frigate frame, but sporting much Heavier armor and a WD Missile Tube, the N Y C Class Heavy Frigate could almost be considered a Destroyer if not for its small size. Capable of taking a large amount of punishment for its class, the N Y C can land its 200 Marines even durring intense firefights. Fully atmospheric capable, the Heavy Frigate is sometimes used in ground support missions, using its Rail Gun defenses to lay down cover fire.
