[edit] History

Following two seasons of poor performances, the former owners KT Telecomm were revoked as chief sponsors and subsequently, Banco Economico was offered a controlled stake in the team. The new management quickly changed the location of the team to Malnira, where presumably the management felt more comfortable with the tropical climate and Iberian atmosphere (albeit, Hispanic Iberian). Then called Malla Gukjei, the team made a drastic reversal of fortune and promoted to the Heavenly Division. Since the Gyeimyo Calamity, the club has since been renamed Kapundae, in reference to the club's owners (Kapundae means "Cafundéu" or "Cafundelense").
