Ambassadors to the United Nations
- For a list of ambassadors to the World Assembly, please see List of Ambassadors to the World Assembly
Ambassadors to the United Nations played a wide variety of roles during their service to the World Assembly's predecessor. Some were active legislators, others persistent lobbyists, still others effective debaters. Not all were indispensable statesmen, obviously. Some were little more than mouthpieces for their respective governments, others were fall-down drunks who only used their UN assignments as cover for frequent marathon benders in the Strangers' Bar. Personalities ranged from the pleasant and resourceful to the deranged and psychotic, but a few traits in particular appeared to be near-universal, including penchants for office-squatting and stealing office supplies, and with the exception of a few hardcore sovereigntists, all shared an almost disturbing eagerness to force their own particular values on the rest of the world.
This page lists some of the more notable personalities that were assigned to the now-defunct UN.
