The Iskios Federation is a collection of six city states location in the North West The East Pacific. The city states are: Askia, Gallecia, Illyricium, Merhenia, Ormark and Skatos.
It has close ties with Elafos.
Askia, Illyricium and Skatos are all of Elafosian descent. Gallecia, Merhenia and Ormark being native kingdoms.

[edit] War with Elafos
Currently Iskios is divided between Askia, Illyricium and Skatos (Now members of the Elafos Coalition) and Gallecia, Merhenia and Ormark.
In recent times tensions were brought to a head over the supposed murder of a Vyladian noble (Sirius Rhakos) within Ormar Territory. Efforts made to find/rescue Rhakos were met with hostility from Ormark with reports indicating that the three teams dispatched to recover Rhakos (whose location was just beyond the border and known thanks to a distress call made) disappeared after an extended firefight took place. Ormark denied any knowledge of the event and countered by claiming that a group of three hundred new recruits on training excercises encountered and were destroyed by a force which was alledgedly Elafosian in origin.
Conflict was barely averted while discussions between national leaders took place but after a major terrorist attack blamed on Ormark extremists occured within Aetria any progress made within the ongoing talks was undone. Protests by Unionists took place across Northern Iskios (the Unionist movement supported joining with Elafos and was made up largely of Illyricians and Askians and is rumoured to have been funded by Elafos itself). Most of these protests occured within Askia, Illyricium and Skatos, Gallecia and Merhenia remained free of them but two took place in Ormark. The Ormark protests were brutally put down by police with over four hundred deaths reported.
The divide was officially formed when Illyricium entered talks with the Elafos Coalition regarding a treaty to "enrich cultural ties" (essentially a glorified none aggression pact which included trade agreements) which Askia and Skatos also joined. Ormark formed a counter treaty with Gallecia and Merhenia. Valerian troops began to cross the border two days later.
The war has come to a stalemate within Ormark for both sides. Askia and Skatos took heavy losses in the early stages of the conflict as Gallecian and Merhenian armed forces pushed northwards in order to obtain a coastline. The majority of this land has since been retaken by Coalition forces.
