Heathfield United Football Club are a football club based in Heathfield, Sorthern Northland. They were formed in 2007 and currently play in the top tier of Sorthern football, the Sorthern First Division. They are one of the bigger clubs in Sorthern football, and have won two First Division titles as well the Sorthern Cup twice. United's main rivals are fellow Heathfield side, Heathfield City.
Ground
Heathfield United play at The Causeway in south-western Heathfield. The stadium itself is built on land reclaimed from the sea, hence it's name. The somewhat limited amount of space available for a stadium means that the terracing of The Causeway is by far the steepest in Sorthern Northland to allow for the capacity of 51,093. After a bid from the stadium to host the final of TakilQuip Champions’ Cup 19 was rejected by UICA for falling short of the 60,000 capacity required for hosting the event, the Heathfield United board announced that they were looking into the feasibility of expanding the stadium to meet the threshold. Any such expansion would likely require further reclamation of land.
