What is it?
Gargaroth is a landmass within the region of Sisgardia. It is a static presence on the Sisgardian map that may be occupied by a Sisgardian nation or be abandoned and be left empty. Whether or not it is in possession of nation; Gargaroth like the many other landmasses exist in Sisgardia and as such they can serve as RP background at all times regardless of nation presence or not.
The Gargaroth landmass is a Sisgardian based island that most likely used to be attached to the Falkadria landmass untill tectonic plate movement severed the landbased connection. Gargaroth is surrounded by the waters of the Sea of Arn and the Great Gulf of Uravak.
Gargaroth is at it's longest point 720 miles from North to South and 660 miles from East to West.
Unlike the many Sisgardian Northern based lands which have been the victims of heavy industrialisation and total urbanisation; Gargaroth is still mostly pristine and natural like many of the other Southern landmasses. For the most part the land is relatively flat and there is little in the way of forests safe for the far eastern part which has several forests and more noticeable altitude variations. The most memorable natural sight within Gargaroth is the Brann Rift which runs through the middle to Southern part of the landmass all the way from the Eastern to the Western shores where it is barely a few inches deep to a full plunging dept of 200 meters of steep cliffs in the middle. Along this cliff stands a whole line of ancient fortresses that protected the border of the Grass-Walker Tribe centuries ago. Finally there is also a offshoot of the Rift but it is nowhere as deep and houses a sand benched river running through it leading out to the south where it ends in the 'White sand Ravine' before entering the Gulf of Uravak. The White Sand Ravine is a relative humble site to view but is considered a holy pilgrimage site by the Tribes of Azerran.
Gargaroth is a fertile land and there are many agriculture fields between the 'rolling hills'. Temperature wise the warmest it ever gets would be around 28 to 30 degrees Celcius while the coldest winter days would be around the 5 degrees Celcius. It never freezes in Gargaroth.
The Fauna of Gargaroth is mainly what one could expect of a mostly rural land. Rodents, small felines, canines, pigs, cows, sheep. The whole lot. The Owl is exceptionally common in Gargaroth and they most likely came from the more heavily woodes Landmasses to the East. There are several Owl species which are showing signs of mutating into a new branch that is unqique Gargaroth. As of recently large cats such as Tigers have also been brought to Gargaroth by Tavarothian's who now life in this land. How these animals will effect the enviroment is yet to be seen.
Almost anything that could be found in European rural lands and small forests is to be found in some way in Gargaroth. There have been no signs of unqiue plant life so far in this landmass.
As it stands only the nation of Azerran holds claim to Gargaroth and they inhabit the southern area of the landmass, only going a little north of the Brann Rift.
