Founding Fathers

Founding Fathers is a common term used by many nations to describe major figures behind the formation of the national political structure and/or system of governance, and other historical persons who played a role in the nation's establishment. Despite the paternalistic term, "founding fathers" don't always have to be male.

List of national founders
Nations may use any number of terms (besides "founding fathers") to refer to the people who originally set up their government structure. Below is a list of these people, sorted alphabetically by nation.
Omigodtheykilledkenny - Thor was the gallant explorer who led the Kennyite revolt against the Xt'Tapolopaquetl in 1785, thereafter declaring himself president. He had a number of political cronies who gladly would have succeeded him, but in 1795 the citizens decided instead to elect Thor's chief political rival, Doug Frowning.
