History of Football in Achtervolging
Before Democracy brought together the peoples of Achtervolging, football was played in many localised leagues, some professional, but mostly amateur. The more skilled and financially backed teams often challenged neighbouring county squads to friendlies and tournaments.
Football was being played in every corner of the nation, but there was no organised leagues to give any meaning to all the games.
The New League
When Achtervolging became a democratic nation, in an attempt to bring all citizens together, the Royal House of Boenck formed the FAA to unify and create and solid football structure to promote healthy competition and active youth.
A primary goal of FAA is to create a national system that will promote top-notch football in order to field teams at the National level for both men and women, and challenge for football supremacy at the World Cup.
