The United Federated States of Edward City (UFSEC) (Catalan: Estats Federats Units d'Edward City; Catalan: Estats Federats Units d'Edward City; German: Vereinigte Föderierten Staaten von Edward City), commonly known as Edward City, is a country in the Terra Nostrumian continent of . The United Federated States is a federal republic composed of nine states with Port Saint Edward as its federal capital.
It was established as a republic in 1913, having previously existed in the form of an absolute monarchy. It adopted its current constitution on December 30, 1914 after the Declaration of Federation.

History
- Main article: History of Edward City
Edwardia was discovered in 1548 by a spanish naval expedition led by catalan admiral Eduard de Cerdanya. The Spaniards remained the only people in Edwardia until 1572, when english sailors founded the coastal city of Port Saint Edward. During the following years, Spain, Great Britain and Austria-Edwardia colonised and annexed territories all over Edwardia. This colonisation took them on a war path and, in 1613, the Edwardian Colonial Wars erupted and confronted Spain, Austria-Edwardia and the Netherlands against Great Britain. For the next 200 years, the colonies remained in a nearly-continuous state of war until the truce that was declared in 1829 between Spain and Great Britain.
Path to Independence
During 1829, several colonies at Edwardia declared independence from their colonial rulers. This was known as the "Edwardian Spring of the nations". From this "revolution", several nations acame to existence, such as the Duchy of Hamburg-am-Mosa, the Republic of the Golden Coast, the Great County of Edvard Staat and the Principate of Monte Salomón, as well as many other smaller nations.
For the next years, these four nations, that were known at the time as the "Edwardian Big Four", went into an expansionist and militaristic path. This led to the Edwardian War of 1842. In 1848, a truce was declared between Edvard Staat and Golden Coast. During the war, both Hamburg-am-Mosa and Monte Salomón had been absorbed by Edvard Staat and Golden Coast respectively. This situation led to an unstable peace as both nations' spheres of influence continued to grow. While Golden Coast expanded to the South, Edvard Staat started to expand north and east. This had to lead to a confrontation in any moment, something which happened in December 1874 when a clash occured in Bologna Ridge between the Edvard Staat and Golden Coast armies. In January next year, Unification Wars started and lasted for 15 years.

Government and politics
According to the Constitution of Edward City, which was adopted in December 30, 1914, Edward City is a federation and formally a semipresidential republic, with an elected Prime Minister and President that both take part in day-to-day governance of the nation. The President is directly elected by the people while the Prime Minister is elected by the Chamber of Deputies.

The United Federated States exercises a large economic, political, and military influence. It is a founding member of the United Nations Space Command and Port Saint Edward hosts it's HQ. Many countries have embassies in Port Saint Edward, and many more host consulates around the country. Likewise, many other nations host Edwardian diplomatic missions.
The UFS enjoys a special relationship with the Großdeutsches Reich and strong ties with Spain, Beaugeais, Iglesian Archipelago and other fellow nations.
The president holds the title of commander-in-chief of the nation's armed forces and appoints its leaders, the minister of defense and the Joint Chiefs of Staff. The Department of Defense administers the armed forces, including the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force and Space Warfare Department. The Coast Guard is run by the Ministry of Federal Affairs in peacetime and the Department of the Navy in time of war. In 2008, the military had nearly 7 million personnel on active duty, along with several hundred thousand each in the Reserves and the National Defense Guard for a total of 10.2 million troops. The Ministry of Defense also employs about 850,000 civilians, disregarding contractors. Military service is voluntary, though conscription may occur in wartime. Edwardian forces can be rapidly deployed by the Air Force's large fleet of transport aircraft and aerial refueling tankers, the Navy's fleet of seven active aircraft carriers, and Marine Expeditionary Units at sea in the Navy's fleets.
