Danish (Dansk) is a North Germanic language spoken by about six million people. It is, to a considerable extent, mutually intelligible with the Norwegian Bokmål and to a lesser extent with Swedish.
Danish is an official language in:
- Baltskandio (with Esperanto and Estonian)
- Free Newdepolderian States (one of 13 total official languages, foremost of which are Dutch, German and English)
- Gottholme (with Swedish and Norwegian)
- Hallcha (replacing the related Hallchoyic)
- Nabarro Abarca (with English, French, and Spanish. It is the primary language of the Nabarran state of Gade).
- United Deutschland (with Dutch and German)
Danish is also spoken in Hunawihr and Quintessence of Dust. It is particularly strong in the East of the latter country, where former immigrant communities retain their ethnic character.
