History
Blizzard George formed as a artic depression, in the Northwest Abbennedian Mountains in Qwendra. The storm remained as a depression until it gained strength over the mixing bowl of the north or the Oficanue Valley between the Abbendians and the Harthensciu Mountain ranges countries. The storm became a Category 1 Blizzard but weakened back down to a Artic Storm after passing over several more mountains. After passing, the storm made way into open valley once again, with little to no natural land forms to block it, the storm continued to gain strength by feeding off the damp wind currents rising from the North Alkatine Sea. Over the course of 24 hours it became a Devastating Category 5 storm.
Preparations
Early meteorological tracks predicted the storm would likely affect Northern Voltronica in minor ways. The initial storm track had predicted the storm would swing southeast likely dumping sleet and strong winds onto Northern Voltronica southern region. Creto and the surrounding area was expected to see the worse of the storm but not likely anything at blizzard strength. With this the Bee’shkaal Government raised the [The Bee’ shkaal Blizzard Alert System] to level 4. By September 25 the Government revised it's predicted storm path on the basis that George wasn't gradually shifting course. It was now on a collision course with Vizern. The Government Promptly raised the Alert Level to Evacuation 1. Evacs were now underway, salt storage facilities were being prepared and the snow management control was being readied. The Bee’ shkaal Royal Cabinet and family were being evacuated as well, all except for Archduke- Giorgio Ferlinad IV. Still many confidently felt they could weather the storm. A few power and water plants were being maintained to keep power on as long as possible.
Impact
George left no part of Northern Voltronica untouched. Each province was significantly damaged.
Northern Voltronica
The first bands of George began making landfall on the northern tip of the country on October 9, right away the winds were strong and causing major damage. As George's center began to move into the area, excessive snow drifts began to form, far more than anticipated. Right away the mountains filled with excess snow, faster than expected. Then a series of avalanches began to cover the area in first spotted areas but then slowly it seemed to be happening everywhere.
Southern Voltronica
Southern Voltronica was left virtually unaffected by Blizzard George but still received great devastation at the time.
