Association football at the Fourth Summer Olympics was held over the course of almost the entire Games, withthe first games played on September 8, and the finals on September 28 (women's), and September 29 (men's). The finals took place at the Olympic Tower Stadium, with preliminaries held at various stadia around Paripana.
