Arnold William Forrest Baldwin (born May 31, 1956) is the 16th and current President of the United Federated States, inaugurated on 24 November 2008. He won the presidential election held on 1 November 2008 with about 59% of the popular vote.
Early life and carreer
Arnold Forrest was born at the Raccoon County Clinic in Raccoon City, Kuma, United Federated States, to Elizabeth Baldwin and William Forrest. In 1974 he attended Raccoon City University where he studied Political sciences and International relations. In 1979, he ended his studies and became a member of the Edwardian federal diplomatic service under President Keonach.
Political carreer
In 1980, he joined the Union of Democratic Centre and rapidly became a well known figure within the party at Kuma. In 1986, he ran for Governor of Kuma and was elected. He would be Governor of Kuma for the next 22 years until 2008. He became the longest serving Governor in the history of Edward City. In 1993, UCD dissolved after an internal struggle for power and Arnold Forrest joined United Democrats, a successor party to UCD founded by the preceding party's founder, Johannes Keonach.
In 2003, there where rumours that he would be running for the Presidential nomination of United Democrats for the 2004 Presidential election. He didn't run, but in 2007 he announced that he would be running for the Presidential nomination in 2008 for that year's elections. In March 2008, he was chosen as the Democrat nominee for Presidency. In November, he won the election and became the 16th President of Edward City.
