An Comhairle Oilimpeach na Bhlascaoid (English: The Blasket Olympic Council) sent a delegation of thirty-two athletes to the Fifth Summer Olympics in Outineau, Kelssek. An Blascaod Mór competed in events in seven sports.

With a population of just one hundred and forty-three An Blascaod Mór is thought to have been the smallest nation by population competing at the Games. Media within fellow microstate San Adriano however noted that they could claim to be the smallest nation at the Games due to their lesser geographical size[1]. The thirty-two athletes competing for An Blascaod Mór at the Fifth Summer Olympics made up some 15.5% of island's population.

Sprinter Rosheen McLennan, a bronze medallist at the Third Summer Olympics and the defending gold medallist from the Fourth Summer Olympics won her second career bronze and third medal of any colour in the women's 100 metre sprint event. Husband and wife Seoirse Ó Suileabháin and Eithne Uí Shuileabháin both won silver medals in the mountain biking events. The three medal won by An Blascaod Mór represented their largest medal haul to date, though it also represented the first time in three Olympics that the island failed to win a gold medal.
