Adalberto Spencer (born March 29, 1968) is the current Chief Prime Minister of Vulshain, and is the head of the Confederate Administrative Cabinet of Vulshain. He is also the leader of the Federalist Party.
History
Early Life
Adalberto Spencer grew up during the reign of Merrill Rivers. While humans, who represent a small portion of the population of Vulshain, Lobos and Vulpines, the races that made up the vast majority of the Vulshainian population, were mistreated and oppressed, Spencer was not swayed by such racist ideals as some humans were. Spencer was studied law at the Rogitev Law School where he received degrees in both Constitutional Law and Property Law. He practiced law, attempting to influence the courts to be fair and equal, a feat not so easy achieved, since the Republican Regime controlled many of the courts.
After the Monarchical Revolution and the restoration of the Vulshainian Monarchy, Spencer became interested in politics. He first began his political career by becoming mayor of his home of Rogitev, provinical capital of Esnah. He later successfully ran for the office of Provincial Governor of Esnah in 1999.
He was very popular in helping to reduce crime as well as to create more jobs and even pushed for more capitalistic laws for his city and his province. While an Independant, he later joined the Federalist Party, who appreciated his like-mindedness.
After leaving the office of Provinical Governor, Spencer ran for the ultimate political position: Chief Prime Minister of Vulshain in 2008.
His slogan: "Enough with the Whining! Vote for someone who is Blunt and Sharp!" was very popular, especially among humans. However, his allegiance to the Federalists made him unpopular with many Vulpines and Lobos. Luckily, one of his opponents, Elidai McFawnia, dropped out after she was outed as being a bisexual by the paparazzi after she caught having an affair with both her husband and another woman. What made Spencer so popular during the incident was his attack against the media's disregard for his opponent's privacy. The backlash against the media during the McFawnia Sex Scandal, while hurting McFawnia's reputation at the same time, launched Spencer to the top of the polls. He won 82% of the votes, making him the winner of the 2008 Elections.
However, his approval ratings swung back and forth during King Oykieke Chaney's reign as he tried to influence the king on several decisions, some of which were very unpopular with many people.
After the election and crowning of the new monarch, King Samuil Rainard, Spencer soon discovered a leader that was more resistant to influence. After King Rainard's ascension to the throne, Spencer's approval ratings dropped from 85% to 71% in December 2010.
