128mm Cannon

The first 128mm Cannon was designed for the T-3 Warrior and is today used on a number of vehicles, mobile and fixed weapons systems and even on board aircraft. The 128mm was designed to correct all perceived shortcomings with 125mm and 120mm caliber weapons, while offering an intermediate caliber between the light 112mm Cannon and the heavy 140mm Cannon which were already in use. The 128mm Cannon has been produced in several versions with both smoothbore and rifled barrels and in several different barrel lengths. A variety of muzzle breaks, expansion chambers and recoil compensation systems have been developed for 128mm cannons as well. While primarily a turreted weapons system, towed 128mm cannons exist and there are at least two ground attack aircraft that have lofted them.(the AC-14 being the only one which is still in service)

128mm Naval

TPM's 128mm Naval Cannon is a rifled 5 Inch Naval Gun in use by The Phoenix Milita Navy and is also frequently found on board nearly all of the ships produced by Phoenix Dynamix. The 128mm Naval cannon, or simply 128mm Naval, is capable of chambering and firing 128mm tank rounds, but regular 128mm tank cannons can not fire most of the specially designed naval artillery shells of the 128mm Naval. However, it is primarily for the compatibility of the two weapons systems that the Marines chose the T-3 Warrior as their main battle tank. 128mm is actually the same diameter as the ground version, about 5.03inches, and while traditional 5 inch cannons are 127mm (5 inches exactly), 128mm Naval is still often referred to simply as a 5 inch cannon.
